Next stop, New York City and a new President... November 3rd, Rockwood Music Hall at 7PM, I'll play new songs, and some more seasoned ones, in celebration of a very long weekend for me... I bite my tongue, once saying I would never be caught attempting a marathon, I find myself now almost four months into training. I'm headed to New York to run the New York City Marathon November 2, 2008. I've even already recovered from one injury. My big brother and I are both running the race and we've teamed up to raise $6,000 for GoodSports, an organization supporting economically disadvantage youth around the country. Well, that's our goal. You can donate from this page (see the little green box on the lower right corner of your screen) as I wrap up the remainder of the training runs in preparation for the 26.2 mile race just around the corner. You can see we have some ground to cover before we reach our goal! Some might say I should have read the economic forecast before setting my sights so high, but I'm excited to make it happen with your help, despite these shifty economic times... Speaking of the times, please vote this November 4th. I am excited to be part of history and to stand up for one of the great politicians and orators of our time, Barack Obama. Let's do this.
